Shop: 54: ESTER ZOLORSANO
This is the place to stock up on coffee. Great beans and roast, mountain grown.
Ester Zolorsano has a great shop where you can buy some of the best coffee in Costa Rica. It is also the same as you will see in the airport.
This little shop is a great place to purchase coffee. The beans are full and when ground release a good amount of oil. You can get true medium roast. The coffee is grown in the higher elevations and protected from the heat and direct sun. The plants are rotated appropriately. Costa Rica has been producing coffe for centuries and does it right, but you have to select the right beans. The beans sold at this shop are very good.
This is a picture of the "House Blend" coffee. The beans are full and healthy. The roast is mild and flavorful.

Alajuela is near the San Jose airport. Actually the San Jose airport is in Alajuela not San Jose, so if you land at the airport, pick up an airport phone and call 2449-5152 (yes eight digits) and go directly to the mountains. Then visit the coffee shop in San Jose afterwards. These mountains are fabulous. The weather in the mountains is great any time of the year. There is also lots to do.
You might think this is "tourist only" actually this man is working as he has most likely done all his live.
